Lunder Underground Services Corp builds the underground infrastructure that keeps America connected — horizontal directional drilling, fiber-optic conduit, and pneumatic boring, delivered on schedule and without surprises. We operate nationwide, with crews currently active in seven states.
Lunder Underground Services Corp is a multi-state underground contractor headquartered in the Orlando, Florida area, specializing in horizontal directional drilling and underground fiber-optic conduit. Our story starts long before the company did: our founding president spent more than a decade in the field — running drills, crews, and underground builds for other contractors — before opening his own company in 2021. Since then, Lunder has grown crew by crew into an operation that supports telecommunications carriers, utility providers, and general contractors across Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, and North Carolina.
We combine technical expertise, disciplined project management, and modern equipment to deliver reliable, compliant, high-precision underground infrastructure. Our fleet includes 12 directional drills, pneumatic bore equipment, vacuum excavation systems, and the support assets required for safe, efficient underground construction. Every crew carries a line locator to verify utility marks before breaking ground — and when the prints and the paint disagree, we deploy our own ground-penetrating radar to resolve conflicts before they become incidents.
We're proud to build in the United States. Every mile of conduit our crews place helps close the digital divide — bringing broadband to homes, schools, farms, and businesses that the network hasn't reached yet. We hire and train American field professionals, invest in their growth, and treat every yard, road, and right-of-way we work in as part of the communities we serve. Underground infrastructure is invisible when it's done right; the connection it delivers is not.
Licensed and insured crews capable of deploying nationwide — rapid response and consistent execution across regions.
Strict adherence to federal, state, and local requirements, with locate verification on every single bore.
Transparent communication, accurate documentation, and disciplined project controls that keep timelines predictable.
Underground installations completed right the first time — precision, safety, and accountability partners can rely on.
Fiber placed by Lunder crews as subcontractor of record, on builds delivered through our prime contractor partners.
From the first locate ticket to the last splice, we handle the buried scope so prime contractors keep their builds on schedule.
Trenchless installation of conduit and duct under roads, driveways, waterways, and congested utility corridors. A fleet of 12 directional drills sized for residential drops through mainline bores.
Placement of fiber-optic conduit and duct systems for FTTH and middle-mile builds — plowing, trenching, and boring to print, with as-builts and footage reporting.
Short-shot pneumatic bores for service drops and crossings where a drill rig is overkill — fast, clean, and restoration-friendly.
Through our sister company we deliver cable placement, splicing, and testing — one call covers the full underground fiber scope from conduit to lit service. Our teams bring extensive hands-on experience with fiber interconnect and duct systems, including Hexatronic platforms.
A bore doesn't care what runs through it — our crews place conduit and casing for every kind of underground utility.
Fiber backbone, FTTH, and middle-mile builds — the core of our production, from conduit to lit service.
Power conduit and duct banks placed under roads, driveways, and easements without an open cut.
Service lines and casings installed trenchless, protecting pavement, landscaping, and traffic flow.
Crossings and service installs executed with strict locate verification and clearance discipline.
Pressurized lines bored under obstacles and waterways — where gravity and open trench won't go.
Headquartered in the Orlando, Florida area, we take on projects anywhere in the United States. Crews are currently active along this line:
New market? Our in-house crews mobilize with drills, locators, and support equipment — the same production tracking and safety systems travel with them.
Multi-state 811 tickets monitored daily, with positive responses verified per utility member before crews mobilize.
Unmarked or disputed locates stop the job. Potholing and hand exposure where prints and paint disagree.
Photo documentation before and after every shot — the yard leaves the way we found it.
